In the first half of this year, Xiaomi officially entered the laser projection market and launched a new powerful product: Mijia Laser Projection TV. Interestingly, just before the release of Xiaomi's product, Nuts Smart Theater also unveiled a new model—the J6S. I got my hands on the J6S and did a detailed review.
The Nut J6S is an upgraded version of the J6, maintaining its sleek and elegant design. The entire body is almost fully covered in metal, giving it a premium feel. Unlike many round-shaped projectors, the J6S features a parallelogram shape with rounded edges, creating a balance between rigidity and softness. The side panel has a cool CD-like texture that adds to the visual appeal. What stands out is its compact size—only 20.8 x 13.3 x 10.8 cm—which makes it highly portable.
The J6S still uses an electric lens cover, allowing seamless compatibility with ceiling, rear, and front projection setups. As an upgraded model, it introduces a fully automatic focusing function that activates at startup, eliminating the need for manual adjustments. Additionally, it supports mobile focus, making it very user-friendly for people of all ages, including the elderly and children.
On top of the device, there is a virtual touch button that allows you to switch devices. This button also features an LED indicator that changes color depending on the working state. The remote control is another standout feature—it resembles a spaceship with a central disk and buttons placed around the edge for easy access.
The J6S offers 1080P Full HD resolution and supports 4K decoding, with 1100 ANSI lumens of brightness. The image quality is excellent, even in low-light conditions. When tested under dim lighting, the J6S produced bright and clear images without any strain on the eyes. The color saturation was vibrant, and the contrast and white balance were well-balanced, delivering a visually pleasing experience.
Even when the lights were on, the J6S maintained good visibility and color clarity, proving its versatility in different environments.
