Looking at various headphone reviews is quite metaphysical—without listening to a pair thoroughly, you can't really tell what's going on. For example, someone might say, "I listen to SSD files stored on my hard drive, and the sound quality is smooth and pleasant, but I still prefer the physical texture and grain of files on a mechanical hard drive." Another person might say, "The i3, i5, and i7 are too fast. I only use them for listening to songs. Only Tuladin’s 'Celebrate' gives me the feeling of a gentle spring breeze." I didn’t really want to write this, but I also don’t take many photos (it’s just bad codewords). In 2004, I started using the ER4P. Last year, I heard some crackling in the cavity. Then I went to TB to find someone to fix it and try it out. However, the ER4P is a long-time favorite. I usually don’t sleep much, so I looked for a small earphone (don’t ask why I didn’t buy one before). There were various options under the Hidden series, which aren’t generally well-known (I don’t know if they’re navy or not; anyway, I’m definitely not naval). The most expensive one was only 99 yuan. So, I bought it with four filters, and 40 seemed okay. I figured I’d give it a try anyway. As a 99-yuan product, getting a tin box was also a concern (I haven’t bought a headset in over ten years, so forgive me for not knowing how other headsets are packaged). All the headphones come with sponge pads. I started with the low-impedance version. Anyway, I mainly use it with my phone, and usually plug it into a 4P to 4S adapter. It comes with two pairs of silicone sleeves and one pair of sponge sleeves with clips. The craftsmanship is good, and the default setup on the earphones feels appropriate. It also includes a pair of silicone ear hooks. First impressions: the craftsmanship is solid, better than some small 4s. The metal cavity doesn’t feel cheap at all. The wire uses 24-core OFC cable, with an added 400D bulletproof layer. The main line can withstand up to 40KG. They use large, hard line files (big and hard… strange wording) to increase durability. This is the official description of the wire. Let me say that it’s not as stiff as they claim. Anyway, when lying in bed, there’s no real difference in sound quality. 3.5mm L plug. The LR logo is on one side, and the “Hidden†logo is on the other. Don’t ask me anything—anyway, it hasn’t faded after a month of use. The back of the housing, or outlet? Remove the silicone sleeve, or the sentence… the craftsmanship has no flaws. Putting on the silicone ear tip should be comfortable—I haven’t used it yet. A photo of the MDR-EX15LP for $29. It looks really similar. Small 4 reveals a face. Listening to the main song while lying in bed... Don’t ask me what song I listened to (in fact, I listen to it often). Dozens of gigabytes of APE and FLAC haven’t been touched for a long time. I was thinking about ImageGarden before... everything is old now. If there's an ImageGarden, leave a comment. Almost forgot to mention my evaluation—it wasn’t unboxed yet. Huang Yiyun’s music is nice, touching, and I love to download it. The default is 320kbps. Es rappelt im Karton – female voice + Dong Dong Dong. It’s slightly loose in terms of quality and quantity (the ER4P is famous for its balance). This song repeats several times in one track. The melody is sad, and the lyrics are sad, but I didn’t hear any negative emotions—just a reluctant strength spreading through the music. The expression of the male voice on the potential 99 is on point. Although the official description says the male voice isn’t full, fullness depends on the singing style. Male vocals come in many forms. Liszt’s version of Paganini’s Violin Concerto No. 2 in B Minor. Can you hear the pine scent? Of course not. What we hear is the rhythm and show of the piece. At what level does the potential 99 perform? Compared to a small 4P plugged into a phone, there’s still a slight gap. The resolution is actually good, but it lacks delicacy or permeability a little bit. From shallow to deep drums, with a dynamic range and thickness in the female voice, the performance of the potential 99 made me want to download it after just one listen. What? Symphony? Oh, I’ve never really listened to it. So, to sum up, you won’t know the sound quality just by looking at these pictures. It’s too good to be true. It’s not like the photos are trying to exaggerate noise or show edges. Now, with so many popular Bluetooth options, and with the new iPhone 7 removing the headphone jack, even my new Mix 2 requires an adapter. It hurts a bit. But if you're looking for something affordable, I think the Potential 99 at this price won’t disappoint you. Oh, actually, I still want to buy Dafa’s drop. Noise beans. On the sauce.
