ZVR Releases "Matrix" Modular Spatial Positioning Solution Will Facilitate Immersive Entertainment
The International Virtual Reality Innovation Conference recently concluded successfully at the Qingdao International Convention and Exhibition Center in Shandong. With the theme of "Virtual and Practical Cooperation, Win-Win Development," the event featured five major activities, including the main forum, the construction of China’s virtual reality industry, and the launch of the national virtual reality industrial base. The conference aimed to explore the global VR industrial revolution, showcase cutting-edge technologies, and foster collaboration among industry players, while also delving into new strategies for integrating VR with traditional sectors.
During the three-day exhibition, Beijing Lightwell Technology Co., Ltd. (ZVR), a leading provider of optical motion capture solutions worldwide, partnered with TPCAST to unveil the "Matrix" large-space wireless multiplayer interactive solution. This innovative system is designed to support up to 100 square meters of space, utilizing ZVR's independently developed Wukong optical motion capture cameras, two calibration rods, and an integrated software system. At the exhibition, the Matrix solution was demonstrated using the HTC Vive headset, offering a wireless, large-space, multi-user experience that attracted significant attention from government officials, industry partners, and media.
The "Matrix" solution not only enhances consumer experiences by allowing free movement and natural interaction in a shared VR space but also provides powerful tools for content developers and operators. For consumers, it offers an immersive and unrestricted environment where multiple users can interact seamlessly. For developers, the system supports popular engines like Unity and Unreal, enabling smooth integration and cross-platform compatibility. Operators benefit from reduced maintenance costs and easier hardware-software synchronization, making it ideal for various applications such as entertainment, education, military training, and art exhibitions.
Looking ahead, ZVR aims to deepen its foundational technology and expand into immersive entertainment. Guo Wei, a representative from ZVR, emphasized the potential of adding sensory elements like taste, smell, and touch to enhance user immersion. The company has already established partnerships with content producers, cinemas, and small towns, with the goal of bringing high-end VR experiences like The Void into mainstream offline venues such as movie theaters and shopping malls.
ZVR, founded in 2014, is a tech company focused on virtual reality infrastructure, dedicated to providing professional multi-user spatial positioning and human-computer interaction solutions. Its self-developed Wukongâ„¢ infrared optical motion capture system supports both active and passive spatial positioning methods. The Middleware platform enables seamless integration with major VR peripherals and content engines, offering tailored solutions for different industries and usage scenarios.
