For example, being able to tell the TV, “I want to watch my favorite actor’s movie†or “I want to see his latest show.†In tests, all five TVs performed reasonably well, but the Q5K stood out in several areas. When it came to basic commands like volume adjustment, mute, or returning to the home screen, all five TVs were able to respond. However, the Q5K went a step further by supporting voice-activated power-off. It could also understand phrases like “too bright†or “too dark†and adjust the brightness accordingly. A key test of AI is how well it understands relationships between people. When testers said, “I want to see her husband’s movie†and “I want to see her husband’s TV show,†the Q5K accurately found Deng Chao’s movies and Chen Xiao’s TV series. Other models either provided irrelevant results or couldn’t understand the request at all. During voice interaction, errors and mispronunciations are inevitable. Testers intentionally said things like “You don’t come to me†or “I don’t come to you is not good.†They also confused terms like “Wolf 2†with “Wolf 2†or “Wrestling!†and said “Flower blooms on that year†instead of “Flowers are being turned on.†The Q5K showed remarkable performance, automatically correcting typos, homonyms, and mispronunciations to find what the user really wanted. The other four models struggled with similar issues. The live comparison highlighted the current state of AI technology in the TV industry. While speech recognition is relatively mature, far-field voice and voiceprint recognition are still in early stages. These technologies require further refinement before they become widespread.
