How to judge the quality of AC contactor on the machine - Database & Sql Blog Articles

1. Visual Inspection: First, check if the contactor is functioning properly. When you power on the system, observe if the contactor engages. If the fan starts but the press does not (assuming the capacitor is in good condition), it could indicate that the contactor is faulty. Since both the press and the external fan are controlled by the normally open contacts of the contactor, they should operate simultaneously. If one fails to work while the other does, it may suggest a problem with the contactor's contacts.

2. Listening Test: Listen for any unusual sounds when the contactor is activated. A loud bang or a buzzing noise might indicate issues such as low voltage supply or dirt on the contact points or moving iron core. If the contactor makes a "click" sound but doesn't engage properly, it could be due to either insufficient voltage or weak magnetic attraction from the coil.

3. Smell Check: Pay attention to any burning smell, which could signal overheating or damage to the coil windings or contacts. This is a strong indicator that further inspection is needed.

4. Measurement: After disconnecting the power, use a multimeter to test the contactor’s functionality. Check the three main contacts and the set of normally open contacts—these should all show continuity when the contactor is engaged. Normally closed contacts should not conduct when the contactor is active. Also, measure the coil resistance, which should be around 200 ohms. Make sure to disconnect one end of the wire before testing to avoid false readings.

5. Short-Circuit Test: If the press still doesn’t start after the contactor closes, you can perform a quick short-circuit test. Use needle-nose pliers to temporarily short the contacts of the same group. If the press starts, it suggests that the contactor’s contacts are likely damaged. However, always ensure safety precautions are followed during this process, as it involves live circuits.

Laser Scanner

Laser radar contains LSPD safety laser scanner and LS laser radar. LSPD safety laser scanner is type 3 with CE certificate. It can be used for agv safety and industrial area protection. LS laser radar is for agv guide. Many famous agv manufacturers has installed LS laser radar to guide their agvs. Feedback from customers are quite posotive.
