64% of all Americans have at least one Apple product
According to a recent survey by CNBC, 64% of U.S. residents own at least one Apple product, with the average household owning 2.6 Apple devices. The survey, which included over 800 participants across the country, highlights the widespread presence of Apple products in American homes. Notably, this number has been steadily increasing since the survey first began in 2012, when it was reported at 50%.
What’s interesting is that Apple’s appeal isn’t limited to any particular demographic. The survey found that even those earning less than $30,000 annually own at least one Apple product, showing that the brand has a broad reach. However, among retired women over 50, the percentage of Apple product owners is slightly lower.
On the other end of the spectrum, iPhone ownership is particularly high among higher-income individuals. Over 87% of people with at least one Apple product earn more than $100,000 per year. In fact, the wealthiest households have an average of 4.7 Apple devices, while the poorest households only have about one.
Geographically, there are also noticeable differences. Households in the Western U.S. tend to own more Apple products, averaging 3.7 devices per household, compared to just 2.2 in the South.
This data reflects not only the popularity of Apple products but also their deep integration into daily life across different income levels and regions.

A fastener or fastening is a hardware device that mechanically joins or affixes two or more objects together. In general, fasteners are used to create non-permanent joints; that is, joints that can be removed or dismantled without damaging the joining components. Steel fasteners are usually made of stainless steel, carbon steel, or alloy steel.
