Ships in this water area are intensively navigable, with daily water traffic volume of 200-300 ships, many types of ships, complicated water traffic, and accident-prone waters. Last year, the ships entering the Pearl River Delta and the Xijiang River Basin via the Hongwan Waterway were unfamiliar with the waterway conditions and restricted draughts, which caused 18 ships to run aground.
