The touchscreen must be clear, responsive, and stable to meet standard display requirements. To check its functionality, you can use the built-in inspection program in the driver to verify if the physical touch functions are working properly. If you have multiple devices available, try replacing components such as the control board, screen, or cable to identify the faulty part. If you have more than two PCs, test by swapping them to rule out PC-related issues. Common PC problems that may affect the touchscreen include: Is the RS-232 serial port functioning correctly? You can test this using a mouse. Does the keyboard port provide sufficient power? Connect a keyboard to check. Are there any interrupt (IRQ) conflicts? You can check system resources to see the status of COM ports and IRQ assignments. If the software driver is not working properly, ensure that the correct driver is installed for your specific product and controller settings. When using an RS-232 controller, double-check that the serial port number connected to the touchscreen cable matches the one set in the software. If not, update it and try again. Also, check for device resource conflicts. For example, after installing a network card, the default IRQ might be set to 3, which could conflict with COM2. Adjust the network card's IRQ to an unused value. If all the above steps don’t resolve the issue, refer to the specific troubleshooting methods for your product to identify and fix the problem.
