China's wind power investment will reach 12 trillion yuan in the next 40 years

Although the growth rate has slowed down since last year, the long-term development of China's wind power industry still has broad room for growth. The “China Wind Power Development Road Map 2050” released on October 19th predicted that by 2020, 2030 and 2050, China’s installed wind power capacity will increase from 44.73 million kilowatts at the end of last year to 200 million and 400 million respectively. 1 billion kilowatts. From 2011 to 2050, the cumulative investment brought about by wind power development will reach 12 trillion yuan.

This report, which was compiled by the Energy Research Institute of the National Development and Reform Commission and the relevant agencies of the International Energy Agency within the United Nations for one and a half years, for the first time sets the prospects based on the actual situation and future development trend of wind power development in China, and analyzes and discusses the achievement of targets in resources and technologies. , industry, policy and other aspects of existing conditions and future efforts. Han Wenke, director of the Energy Research Institute of the National Development and Reform Commission, said that “China Wind Power Development Road Map 2050” is a prediction and assumption, which is not the same as the industry development plan issued by the government, but can provide some references for the country’s formulation of a medium- and long-term development plan. help.

It is understood that the preparation of the 12th Five-Year Plan for the development of renewable energy in China and the preparation of the medium and long-term development plan has entered the final stage. According to some sources, the initial target for wind power development in China set by the plan is: In 2015, domestic wind power capacity will reach 100 million kilowatts, and in 2020 it will reach 200 million kilowatts.

The “China Wind Power Development Roadmap 2050” announced at the 2011 Beijing International Wind Energy Conference and Exhibition predicts that by 2050, China’s wind power capacity will reach 1 billion kilowatts, with installed capacity second only to thermal power, accounting for about 26% of the power supply structure. Can provide about 17% of electricity for the country. In the next 40 years, the accumulated investment brought by domestic wind power development will reach 12.096 trillion yuan, and the number of jobs created will reach 720,000.

The phased goals and space-time layout of future wind power development identified in the above roadmap are: On-shore wind power will be the main focus before 2020, and demonstration of offshore wind power will be carried out. From 2021 to 2030, onshore and offshore wind power will be developed with emphasis on demonstration of offshore wind power; From 2031 to 2050, the development of onshore wind power in the eastern, central and western regions, and near-distance wind power will be fully developed.

According to Liang Zhipeng, deputy director of the New Energy and Renewable Energy Division of the National Energy Administration, China's wind power development will face two major difficulties in the future. First, economic constraints, there is currently a price difference between wind power and conventional energy power generation; Second, the power system to accommodate wind power The limitations of future power system transportation and operation must consider the needs of new energy sources. He believes that the first difficulty in the future will become smaller and smaller, or even disappear, and the second difficulty will increase.
